Heurelho Gomes admits defeat to Sunderland in our first home game of the season was a tough pill to swallow.
The goalkeeper felt we had enough chances to win the game but were undone by a clinical Black Cats display.
Now the Brazilian feels hard work will be the key over the coming week as we prepare for a trip to Chelsea next Sunday.
Gomes said: "A home defeat is always difficult to take. We never really took control of the game, and although Sunderland didn't have many chances, they scored two goals.
"Having had more chances than Sunderland in the second half but only scoring one goal is difficult to accept.
"Everyone was disappointed in the dressing room after the game. It's always hard to lose, but even more so when you're the home side.
"We now need to concentrate and work hard because it will be a difficult game against Chelsea, but we know we can get a result."
