A former Spur may well, finally, achieve his childhood dream on Saturday - to step out in front of a full house at White Hart Lane.
Charlie Lee joined the club's Academy at the age of eight and progressed through the Academy age groups to captain the Under-18s, the reserves and make it into first-team squads.
Unfortunately for the popular, versatile defender/midfielder, that's where his dream ended.
He never quite took the final step to make his first team debut or play in front of that packed house at the Lane.
However, that looks set to change on Saturday.
Charlie, still only 22, left Spurs for Peterborough United in the summer of 2007 and after enjoying back-to-back promotions into the Championship, now finds himself on his way back to the Lane after we were drawn against Posh in the third round.
In a special feature in Saturday's official matchday programme, Charlie explains just what it will mean to walk out of the tunnel in front of 36,000 fans.
"I played at White Hart Lane a couple of times but I always wanted to play there for the first team," he reflected. "I joined the club when I was eight and I was at the club a long, long time.
"All I wanted to do was play in the first team. I was lucky enough to go on two European trips and I was on the bench a couple of times. I was always in and around the squad that season but never quite took that final step to making a first appearance.
"If I'm playing or on the bench on Saturday I'd just love to get out there. I'm lucky enough to have played there four or five times, but never in front of a full house. It will be fantastic."
Posh travel to the Lane bottom of the Championship but, as Charlie explains, they will have nothing to lose.
"We'll go into it with absolutely no fear," said Charlie, who scored as Posh came from 4-0 down to draw 4-4 against Cardiff City in an extraordinary game on Monday.
"If we go to Spurs and get hammered, that's what everyone expects so only good can come out of it from our point of view."
