The Danish playmaker was back in action after a month on the sidelines for Sunday’s 1-0 victory against Palace at the Lane.
Christian didn’t need reminding that now he’s back, the next game is the first North London Derby of the season in the third round of the Capital One Cup back at the Lane tomorrow night (Wednesday, September 23).
“Yes, perfect timing!” he smiled. “It’s a game we all want to win and we want to continue in every competition we’re in. We beat them last time we played here and hopefully we can do the same again.”
It was as if he’d never been away on Sunday. Christian came off the bench on 66 minutes and within three minutes, provided the assist for Heung-Min Son’s winning goal.
“I know the system, I know the players and for me, it’s easy to come straight back in,” he added. “I feel good and that feeling will always stay the same when I come back into the team like that.
“It was an important win for us. We wanted to show that we’re on a good run and wanted to win at home for our fans. They deserve it.”
