Spurs v Arsenal - Mauricio's preview

Posted on 23 September 2015  - 14:55

Mauricio Pochettino says tonight’s derby ‘has arrived at a good moment’.

We take on the Gunners for the first time this season in the third round of the Capital One Cup at the Lane (7.45pm).

We go into the tie unbeaten in six matches in all competitions and with three wins in 10 days under our belt at Sunderland and at home against Qarabag and Palace.

“This is a big game,” said Mauricio. “We know it’s an important game for us and for our supporters, for everyone at the club.

“We have good motivation and we’re excited to play against Arsenal. You can feel that from the players. We need to enjoy it as well, try to play better than Arsenal and try to win this game.

“Football is about enjoyment. It’s our passion. To play well and to win games you need to enjoy football as well.

“This is a good chance for us to show the progression of the team through our performances in the last three games where we’ve had three wins. It’s important to keep that momentum.”
