FA PREMIER ACADEMY LEAGUE
Birmingham City U19s 2-3 Spurs
Andy Barcham starred in this cracking win for Pat Holland's U19s.
The striker (pictured right) notched two fine goals before Michael Malcolm grabbed a late winner with the Blues having twice pulled level.
Coach Pat reported: "The problem we've had this season so far is we're fielding a young side and it tends to be backs to the wall but we took the lead after 15 minutes which took a bit of pressure off.
"It was a terrific goal as well, Owen Price played a couple of one-twos and crossed for Andy Barcham who took it well.
"They then scored within 10 minutes and I thought they were the better side and put us under a bit of pressure.
"Then we broke and Barcham scored again, another great individual goal, showed a lot of aggression, determination, the keeper actually pulled him back but he kept going and slotted it. The keeper was lucky not to go but you don't really want to see that at this level.
"That was 2-1 at half-time but we started slowly in the second half and they got an equaliser.
"That's when we needed to reinforce it a little so the three third years came on and made a big difference. We ended up getting a late winner through Michael Malcolm. I was delighted for them."
