The winger was in fine form and went close to breaking the deadlock in the first half but could do little as the Hammers scored three goals in quick succession in the second half to take a grip on the game.
It was our first home defeat of the season, only our second in 16 in at the Lane in the Premier League and the first time we'd lost by more than a single-goal margin in 32 league matches.
“We went into the game looking for the three points, we didn’t take our chances and we paid for it. That’s football,” said Andros, who has now joined up with the full England squad for key World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland.
“We’re not going to make excuses, we weren’t good enough on the day.
“We’ve two weeks off now, so we’ll regroup and look to come back strong against Villa.”
Our next match is at Villa Park in the Premier League on Sunday week, October 20, kick-off 4pm.
