Andrew Duggan tournament

Posted on 28 November 2003  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Congratulations to Broadwater Farm Primary School, the proud winner of the 2003 Andrew Duggan Memorial Cup, the final of which was held at White Hart Lane on Friday November 21st 2003.

A total of 36 schools competed in 6 tournaments, with the winners of each; Broadwater Farm, St Paul's & All Hallows, St James', Tiverton, Our Lady of Muswell and Rhodes Avenue, making it to the final.

The tournament was set up in memory of lifelong Spurs fan Andrew Duggan who tragically died at the age of 26 during a golfing holiday in Spain last November. This is the second year that the tournament has been held at the Club.

Members of Andrew's family attended the event as guests of honour to present the trophy to the winning team. All agreed that, once again, the event was a huge success.
