ANDREW DUGGAN MEMORIAL CUP

Posted on 25 October 2002  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

The Community Scheme has set up a tournament to be held in memory of Andrew Duggan, a lifelong Tottenham Hotspur supporter who tragically passed away last year at the age of 26. A memorial fund was created in memory of Andrew, and in recognition of his passion for football his family and friends were keen to provide local children with a unique opportunity to become involved with the Club.

During November, 36 schools from the local area will participate in The Andrew Duggan Memorial Cup held here at White Hart Lane. All of the children that participate will receive a Tottenham Hotspur souvenir and the cup will be presented to the Grand Final winners at the end of the month.

The Cup is to be held on an annual basis in order to fulfill the Memorial Fund's aim of creating new opportunities for local children on a long-term basis.
