Andre's Norwich verdict

Posted on 1 September 2012  - 22:15

Andre Villas-Boas was frank in his assessment of Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Norwich at White Hart Lane.

Mousa Dembele looked like delivering our first win of this Premier League campaign with a fantastic goal on his debut after 68 minutes but the Canaries struck late to deny us maximum points.

A week after James Morrison scored a late leveller for West Brom, Robert Snodgrass repeated the trick in the 85th minute to leave the dressing room frustrated again.

“This was a different game, we didn't play as well as last week,” admitted Andre afterwards.

“It's a pity because we fought hard in the second half, mainly because the first half was poor and we looked a little sloppy in our passing.

“In the second half we improved.

“Our players really wanted to get the win, they have worked hard so they deserve it.

“We got the goal but again, we conceded in the last minutes so we have to improve on this sharpness, this reaction, this concentration.

“We have to assume responsibility for what is happening, which is disappointing, but everybody inside the dressing room feels if we get the win that we need, it will be the boost we need to take this through."
