Andre Villas-Boas has been impressed with Southampton on their return to the top flight.

The Saints arrive at the Lane for tomorrow's 3pm clash sitting 13th in the Premier League, having lost only 14 of their 35 matches and racking up an impressive list of home scalps including Chelsea, Liverpool and City.

“Southampton play good football, they are organised and a great team to watch,” said Andre.

“For a change of manager to happen in mid-season was a bit of a shock after what Nigel Adkins had done, but Mauricio Pochettino has transformed the way they play.

“They have beaten Chelsea, Liverpool and City, so we can only say good words about the work Mauricio has done.”

On the flip-side, they’ve only won three matches on the road, but Andre insisted: “They will still be competitive away and they’ve managed a couple of important draws.”

Andre knows it’s all about how we perform though, adding: “Everyone is driven. Ambition and desire to achieving our objectives is something we never missed this season.

“We go into every fixture with a will to win and a desire to win. We need to do our jobs properly and to get the right result.”
