Andre Villas-Boas expects Newcastle to 'have a go' in Sunday's early clash at the Lane.

Andre expects a tough test against NewcastleOur last home Premier League match saw us defeat Hull City

The Toon impressed in last week's victory against Chelsea at St James' Park, where they contained the Blues for much of the game before slowly cranking up the pressure and eventually winning with goals from Yoan Gouffran and Loic Remy.

"They looked good against Chelsea," said Andre. "And I think they will come here and play the game against us.

"They have strength in depth as well and they could throw in a surprise. We’ll have to be very competent and hopefully we can do the job."

Last week's draw at Everton moved us into fourth place in the Premier League, level on points with Chelsea and Liverpool.

We followed up with a 2-1 win against FC Sheriff to qualify for the knockout stage of the Europa League on Thursday night.

We've suffered just two defeats in 18 matches in all competitions with a League Cup quarter-final against West Ham to follow in December as well.

"The start we’ve had gives us great satisfaction, but we can’t stop here," added Andre.

"We have a December full of fixtures and we have to continue to do well when tough opponents like Newcastle come to White Hart Lane."
