The influential midfielder sustained the knee injury during the pre-season encounter with Celtic. The brace was worn to protect a damaged ligament, but has now been removed much to the relief of Darren.
"I've been in a brace for four weeks and got out of it two days ago," he reported.
"I'm hopeful that in the next few weeks I can get back to training and playing.
"There is nothing you can do for it but rest when you are in a brace. It's been very frustrating, but I'm back now.
"I'll hopefully start running next week."
Darren admits to not witnessing a huge amount of our so far productive campaign, but hopes to be part of it soon.
"Not too much, I've stayed away to be honest because I'm not the best watcher."
Darren Anderton has returned to Spurs Lodge after four weeks spent with his knee in a brace and is targeting a return to training in the next three weeks.
