The big man has been in outstanding form all season and wins his second Opta Player of the Month award in succession.
Here are Opta Index's findings...
In the five matches Spurs played in November, Glenn Hoddle's side managed to secure one win — against Leeds — and two draws, while the other fixtures at Sunderland and Arsenal ended in defeat.
With not all the results going Spurs' way, it comes as no great surprise that the Player of the Month for November according to Opta Index was a defender - Dean Richards.
On his forays into the opposition half of the pitch the 28-year-old totalled five attempts at goal, four of which were headed.
But it was at the back of course, where he made his most telling contributions.
In all five matches he made more clearances than any other Tottenham man, giving him a grand total of 66 for the month — a tally no Premiership player could match. Indeed, over the course of the 2002-03 campaign he has got the ball clear on more occasions than any other top-flight star.
Richards also found the time to break up opposition play with 28 tackles, 61% of which were successful. The only player in the top flight who could better this total in November was Sunderland's Gavin McCann, who made 34 challenges for the Black Cats in the same number of games.
It will be interesting to see who comes out on top between Richards and Darren Moore this Sunday when Spurs take on West Bromwich Albion at White Hart Lane. The Baggies defender has made the second-highest total of clearances this term behind the former
Saint, so both sets of forwards will have their work cut out in the televised clash.
