Shoot For A Holiday returned to the pitch at half time during our match against Aston Villa on Sunday and Spurs fan Andy Stavri and Villa fan Neil Ward battled it out in the rain with both posting lightening quick times. It was Neil though that came out on top to win a Thomson Holiday worth £1,000.
Normally a goalkeeper, Neil looked comfortable outfield as he easily beat Chirpy in goal: "I play in a Sunday side as a goalkeeper and am certainly not normally that fast! Maybe it was a combination of adrenalin and the Aloe Vera drink I have been taking!"
Although he won the Thomson holiday in the rain, Neil is looking at sunshine for the actual trip: "I fully intend to get some sun when I take the holiday, maybe Barbados! It was really wet out there but that didn't stop it being a great day and one that I will never forget. Winning the holiday was the icing on the cake."
Spurs fan Andy conceded that on the day he was just beaten by the faster man: "I couldn't have done much more to be honest. I really went for it but Neil was just that bit quicker."
It wasn't all bad for Andy though: "All in all it was a brilliant day. Even though I lost I went home very happy. I fulfilled a lifetime ambition by playing at White Hart Lane and Rohan and Robbie did the business on the pitch as well!"
Shoot For A Holiday will return at our home game against Charlton on December 28th. Next time it might be you winning two tickets to the match, a full kit to keep and of course the chance to play on the hallowed turf here at White Hart Lane in front of 36,000 fans, with the chance to actually score a goal!
Don't forget, Spurs members can now get 5% off the cost of their holidays when they book on the Spurs Holiday Line 08705 502 568.
