Anthony Gardner is back in the squad and itching to get back into Premiership action after completing 90 minutes of the reserve practice match against Fulham on Tuesday.
The elegant defender has been out for a month with a thigh injury, but hopes to be back in the first team frame sooner rather than later.
"I played 90 minutes, felt good and there was no return of any injuries," he reported on Thursday.
"I did about a week's worth of training before the game and felt okay in myself and had no problem with the thigh. The game went well for me.
"My timing was okay - not too bad. With not playing for a month you sharpness tends to go a little bit. It comes back pretty quickly though if you keep playing."
While he did well in a practice game, Anthony does feel, however, that players prefer competitive games with an edge to return them to form.
"Sometimes being thrown in at the deep end brings out the best in you - sometimes it doesn't. Hopefully, if I get picked soon, I will do well."
