Alton Thelwell is targeting 90 minutes for the reserves against Chelsea at Stevenage tonight.
The 22-year-old, out since April with a troublesome groin injury, played for an hour in a practice match at Fulham on last Tuesday and reports that all went well for him.
"Not too bad," he said at Spurs Lodge on Thursday. "I played 60 minutes, which I was happy with as I was only meant to play a half. To play 60 was good and it was nice to be out there.
"It felt pretty good. I was a bit sore afterwards, but you're going to get that when you first come back.
"The groin was a little bit sore, but I trained the next day and, fingers crossed, everything is alright.
"We've got Chelsea next and it would be nice to play 90 minutes if I can. I want to push on with my fitness now."
