Allen is back!

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Legendary striker Clive Allen is back at the club in a coaching capacity.

Clive bagged 84 goals in 135 competitive appearances for the club between 1984-88 including the never to be forgotten 49 in the memorable 1986-87 campaign.

Sixteen years later and he's been re-united with his manager then, David Pleat, helping out after the departure of reserve boss Colin Calderwood to Northampton Town.

Caretaker boss David explained: "Colin left last week for Northampton which is a very big step and we all wish him well.

"That gave me an opportunity to bring someone in on a temporary basis and it was quite amazing the amount of people who contacted us within hours of it being announced that Colin was going to Northampton.

"I've decided to bring in someone who I've always had at the back of my mind, I spoke to him twice over the weekend, we watched our Under-17s beat Arsenal on Saturday and Clive's coming in to help us on the training field and allow myself and Chris Hughton to look after the senior boys."
