The elegant midfielder arrived at the Lane at the end of last season after 11 successful seasons at Liverpool.
He was unable to play in our final few Premiership matches because he joined after transfer deadline day but having played for the reserves and now spending eight days with his new team-mates at La Manga, he's ready to get stuck into the real thing.
Jamie beamed: "La Manga was great for me. It gave me a chance to get to know the lads a little more and we all got on well. The lads are great here.
"I'm very excited about next season. It's a new start for me and I'm looking forward to doing well at Tottenham."
The 28-year-old enjoyed the whole La Manga experience and believes mid-summer training could be the way forward in football.
"It was very enjoyable, we all worked hard and I think it's a good idea especially as the lads have another three weeks off," he added.
"It's certainly a more forward-thinking idea. The season finished in the middle of May and seven or eight weeks off is a lot.
"This gave us the chance to top our fitness up although these days a lot of professionals will do their own thing in the summer anyway. It's the way football is going."
Jamie Redknapp is full of positives after our training camp in La Manga and insists he's 'very excited' at the prospect of opening a new chapter in his career.
