All away for reserves

Posted on 24 June 2001  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Our reserve side embarks on a pre-season programme of six away fixtures as they prepare for a new campaign following the success of last season.

The second-string finally finished fourth in the FA Premier Reserve League as a young team, under the stewardship of Theo Foley, finished strongly with only two defeats in their last eight games.

While they might not have carried off the title, there can be no questioning the productivity of the reserves in terms of supplying players for first team duty.

Star turns in the first team, such as Ledley King, Simon Davies and Gary Doherty all started the season in the reserves.

The 2001-02 vintage prepares with a series of games, all away, beginning with a trip to Barnet on Saturday July 21.

Saturday, July 21 Barnet (3.00pm)

Tuesday, July 24 Arsenal (3.00pm)

Tuesday, July 31 Woking Town (7.45pm)

Saturday, Aug 4 Kettering Town (3.00pm)

Saturday, Aug 11 Dover Athletic (3.00pm)

Monday, Aug 13 Dagenham & Redbridge (7.45pm)
