We kick-off our first three friendlies of pre-season against high-flying Seattle Sounders on Saturday before facing Toronto FC on Wednesday, July 23, and Chicago Fire on Saturday, July 26.
On returning, we travel to Helsinki to take on Celtic on August 2 before our prestigious home friendly against German side Schalke on August 9.
“The last time we were in America it was a really good pre-season and hopefully it will be the same again because the facilities are fantastic and I’m sure we’ll all enjoy our work,” said Gylfi.
“We’re up against good teams from the MLS and they are half-way through their season, so that makes a difference.
“It’s all about working hard and hopefully that will stand us in good stead for the start of the season, that’s what counts.”
