William Gallas feels the team’s performances have stepped up a level this season.
The experienced defender played a key role as we flourished in our first Champions League campaign and finished fifth in the Premier League last season.
Ruled out by injury until the end of October, William was back in the side for Saturday’s 3-0 win against Bolton at the Lane.
That result made it a record six-successive wins in the Premier League and stretched our current sequence to 10 wins in our last 11 league matches, equalling our best unbeaten run in the Premier League.
William said those results underlined his thoughts. “I think we’ve improved. The results show we’ve improved a lot and that’s good for the future,” he said.
“I think at the moment we are at another level and we have to carry on.
“It won’t be easy (to maintain that level of form), but we have to be focused, to concentrate and to believe.”
Meanwhile, William has been impressed with the performances of Younes Kaboul, who is an ever-present in our central defence in the Premier League this season.
“He’s 25-years-old now, he’s improved from last season and he’s a future player,” added William. “He has to carry on, to play like he’s playing now and that will be good for him.”
