The project has been running since April 2006, providing young people on the estate an alternative to potential involvement in crime and anti-social behaviour within a constructive and safe environment.
The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation coach football sessions for 11 to 20 year olds, and 18-year-old Frenchman Adel, a regular squad member this season, was only too delighted to take part.
He wowed youngsters with his range of ball skills and hopes the Kickz project can continue to have a positive effect on its community.
He said: “It was a great experience to see first-hand the positive impact the Club has on its local community. Kickz is a great project because it gives something positive for all the young people on the Ferry Lane estate to get involved in.
“As a young footballer, I fully appreciate the need to give talent the best possible chance to blossom, which is clearly what this project helps to do.”
Our teenage sensation Adel Taarabt made a surprise appearance at the Club’s Kickz project on the Ferry Lane estate in Tottenham on Wednesday.
