Jon Obika (pictured) led the goalscoring this time around with a hat-trick in the FA Premier Academy League encounter at Spurs Lodge. The lads have scored 15 goals in their last three games and have lost just one of their first five league matches.
Coach Alex Inglethorpe talked us through the victory. "It was a strange game in as much as I didn't think Norwich were too bad, but we played well," he said.
"We opened the scoring after about 20 minutes when Jon Obika was first to react when the goalkeeper spilled a shot. They soon equalised soon after a scramble from a corner but it didn't take long to make it 2-1 when Jon Obika was there again, tapping in a cross.
"David Hutton scored the third, a fine goal with good work from Kyle Fraser-Allen, who crossed and David arrived in perfect time to head home.
"David also scored the fourth to make it 4-1 at half-time, this time we beat the offside trap, Andros Townsend broke away and picked out the pass for David to score with a composed finish.
"It only took about a minute to score the fifth goal in the second half with a long-range strike from Daniel Hutchins and I was pleased with that because we were working on shooting in training last week.
"The sixth goal came after about 55 minutes and was Jon's hat-trick. It came from more good work by Kyle Fraser-Allen who went through, beat the keeper, was forced wide but managed to cut it back for Jon to score with a brave header.
"We played some free-flowing football but my only complaint was that we took our collective foot off the pedal a little after about an hour. We have to play through to the full 90 minutes in these situations, that is the standard we are striving for."
