Fulham U18s 0-3 Spurs

Kieran McKenna hit a screamer as our Under-18s enjoyed a 3-0 win at Fulham in the FA Premier Academy League.

The young full-back/midfielder hit the top corner from the edge of the area to give Pat Holland's lads the lead at the break before Andy Barcham netted twice in the second half to secure victory.

Coach Pat takes up the story: "For the first 20 minutes I thought Fulham looked lively, tried to get the ball behind us and pressed quite well but we gradually got hold of the game.

"We had a really good spell for about 10 to 15 minutes and we were thinking 'we need to score here' when we got a corner, it came out to Kieran McKenna on the edge of the box and he hit a tremendous strike, left foot, top corner.

"I thought at that stage with the pressure we had we deserved to go into the lead.

"Going into the second half Fulham came out again, pressed, worked hard but we got a lucky break when the ball went into the box, the keeper dropped it and Andy Barcham was there to tap it home.

"Five minutes later we had some play in their box, Andy found himself free and steered it past the keeper. We played some good stuff and overall it was a good day for us. The lads deserved their win."
