Welcome to the section where we place the spotlight on and get up close and, ever so slightly, personal with the players that are currently attempting to make the professional breakthrough from our Academy system.
First in the Hotseat is...
Name: David Hicks
Age and Academy yeargroup: Under-19s and I'm 17-years-old
Position: Centre midfield
How did you come to join Spurs?
I started here when I was nine. I was at Norwich, got scouted from over there and have been here since then.
Favourite personal footballing moment?
I suppose it was last year while I was in the under-17s. I never score usually and we played against Millwall and I got two goals. I was pretty proud of myself on that day.
Most memorable game for Spurs?
That would probably be the Millwall game as well.
Favourite player from boyhood?
I don't know... Giggs and that type of player.
Favourite current Spurs player?
I would say Jamie Redknapp
Favourite non-Spurs player?
I would probably say David Beckham - I like the way he plays.
What is your immediate to short-term ambition?
To get in the reserves on a regular basis.
To play for Tottenham Hotspur and England.
Are you any good with your wrong foot?
I suppose I'm alright - it needs a bit of working on though!
What is the strongest part of your game?
I'd say passing the ball, all sorts of different ranges.
And the weakest?
Scoring goals - shooting is not my strong point.
It's got to be pizza - everything on it and BBQ sauce.
Coke - not diet, it's got no flavour.
I don't really watch much, but EastEnders is good.
All scary films.
It's got to be Will Young - his is good.
