Martin Jol reports that Aaron Lennon is back in the frame for the derby against Arsenal on Saturday (September 15, 1.30pm).
The flying winger has been laid low since undergoing minor knee surgery at the end of May but he's been in full training for two weeks now and ready to return.
"He’s been doing everything for the last couple of weeks," said Martin at Thursday's pre-Arsenal media briefing.
Martin was then asked what difference Aaron makes to the team. "Aaron is Aaron – he gives us a lot of width and speed and that’s what you hope for," he replied. "It’s his first game, he hasn’t played for the reserves and he’s lacking match practice, but we’ve overloaded him in the last couple of weeks and I think he’s fine."
