AARON UP FOR PFA AWARD

Aaron Lennon has been named on the shortlist for the PFA Young Player of the Year Award.

Aaron Lennon has been named on the shortlist for the PFA Young Player of the Year Award.

The flying winger who turned 20 today and has already been capped nine times by England is joined on the shortlist by Manchester United pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney, Reading's Kevin Doyle, Cesc Fabregas at Arsenal and Manchester City's Micah Richards.

Ronaldo and Fabregas are also up for the senior award alongside United pair Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, Chelsea's Didier Drogba and Steven Gerrard of Liverpool.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on Sunday night.
