The Club is delighted to announce that Aaron Lennon has signed a new five and a half year contract, which sees him at the Club until 2012.The 19-year-old joined from Leeds United in July 2005 and has since made 48 appearances in our colours, scoring four goals. His swift breakthrough into the First Team fold was followed by international recognition and the now holder of seven England caps was a member of the World Cup squad that travelled to Germany last summer.

"Aaron has taken his chances and made himself into a regular First Team player in a short space of time and we often forget how young he still is," said manager Martin Jol . "As a player he is growing and developing, he is a great talent now and clearly there is so much more still to come. He is a prime example of the exciting young talent we are attracting to the Club."

Aaron Lennon added: "I'm feeling really settled here at the Club and I'm thoroughly enjoying my football. There is a terrific spirit in the squad and we have everything to play for this season."
