A Tottenham Treasure Trove

Posted on 18 May 2005  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

BRUCE Castle Museum wants to hear from residents who have Tottenham Hotspur keepsakes they would like to share with other fans for a show about the history of the football club.

Curators at the museum are looking for unusual memorabilia, objects or photographs marking the thrills and spills of Tottenham Hotspur’s past for a people’s exhibit this summer.

It could be anything from a game shirt signed by a Spurs legend to a Tottenham lampshade or matchbox.

These treasures will displayed alongside the museum’s own collection of Spurs items for the exhibition called Tottenham Hotspur: Our Local Club - Your Own Collections.

The exhibition opens on Saturday June 4 with a launch party at the museum from 2pm to 4pm and will run until the end of August.

For more information please contact Deborah Hedgecock or Robert Waite at Bruce Castle Museum, Lordship Lane, White Hart Lane, on 020 8808 8772, email or call Marcia Connell on 020 8489 4543.
