David Beckham has thanked the Club after his six weeks of training with us came to an end on Monday.
England’s most capped outfield player has been working with the First Team squad since January 10 as part of his preparations for the upcoming MLS season with LA Galaxy.
After taking part in his final session at Spurs Lodge, David said: “I have had a great time at Spurs and would like to thank Harry, his staff and all the players for making me feel so welcome over the past six weeks. I wish the Club well for the rest of the season.”
Manager Harry Redknapp added: “We’ve enjoyed having David at the Club. You couldn’t meet a nicer guy – he’s an absolute top class person.
“He’s a superb role model for any young footballer, he has time for anybody he meets and that’s what it’s about in my opinion.
“We all know he’s been a great player over the years but being a good person is just as important as being a good footballer.”
