A Posh friendly

Posted on 3 October 2001  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

A Tottenham Hotspur XI will take on Barry Fry's Second Division flyers Peterborough United in a friendly at London Road on Thursday (October 4, 7.45pm).

The fixture looks an ideal chance for extra match practice for the likes of Ben Thatcher and Anthony Gardner, returning from long-term injury and an opportunity for Matthew Etherington to return to his former club.

Winger Matt, who made his debut for Posh aged just 15, was signed as part of a double deal with Simon Davies in January 2000. Simon is on international duty with Wales this week.

Posh, meanwhile, are in a rich vein of form having won three of their last four league games - scoring 12 goals along the way.

As soon as we have details of the squad travelling to London Road we will let you now.

Prices: Adults £10 seats/£7 standing. OAPs £5 anywhere. Students (U16) £5 seats/£3 standing. Primary school children £1 anywhere.
