It's certainly a line we've walked in recent weeks and we travel to Fulham on Sunday determined to pick up the pieces of what, until recent cup setbacks, promised to be a season to remember.
Assistant boss John said: "It's another big match, another local derby and we have to be ready for it.
"We've been talking about it and Teddy Sheringham put it in a nutshell when he said that we didn't play badly against Charlton.
"We made chances and when you're not creating chances and losing games, that's when you think 'hold on, something might be wrong here' but we're creating in every game we play and Charlton was no exception.
"We should have won the game. Good luck to Charlton, but the difference between winning and losing is very marginal."
