Internationals – Kane reaches milestone with latest goal for England
Harry Kane was on target for England in their 4-0 victory away to Malta in Euro 2024 qualifying on Friday night, notching up another impressive milestone in the process.
In making it 3-0 from the penalty spot just after the half-hour mark, Harry registered his 50th competitive goal for the Three Lions while also continuing his streak of scoring in his last 11 straight European Championship qualifiers.
He now has 56 England goals in total and will be keen on adding to that tally as Gareth Southgate’s men look to continue their perfect record in pursuit of a place at next summer’s tournament.
An own goal by Malta’s Ferdinando Apap was added to by a good strike from Trent Alexander-Arnold in Friday’s contest before Harry added number three in the 31st minute after being fouled in the box by Matthew Guillaumier.
The Three Lions’ skipper was replaced by Callum Wilson on the hour mark and he sealed the win with another penalty in the closing moments.
England have taken maximum points from their three games so far and next face North Macedonia on Monday.
