Saturday’s encounter at Wembley will mark our 2,000th home league game since joining the Football League in 1908-09. Tuesday’s trip to the King Power Stadium will be our 4,000th league fixture.

Landmark matches at White Hart Lane

Game 1

FL Division Two - September 1 1908

After 12 years of plying our trade in the Southern League, we finally began our Football League career with a Division Two clash against FA Cup holders Wolves.  After only six minutes, the great Vivian Woodward scored our first-ever Football League goal before adding a second, with Tom Morris also on target.

Spurs: King, Collins, Webster, Weir, Steel R, Grimsdell, Walden, Minter, Cantrell, Bliss, Middlemiss.

Game 500
Spurs 2-0 Doncaster

Game 1,000
Spurs 1-1 Sheffield United
FL Division One - October 7, 1967

Spurs: Jennings, Kinnear, Knowles, Mullery, England, Beal, Robertson, Greaves, Gilzean, Venables, Jones (Saul).

Game 1,500
Spurs 1-2 Forest
December 26, 1991

We’d beaten Brian Clough’s side in the FA Cup Final six months earlier, but they exacted an element of revenge with a 2-1 win in this game on Boxing Day, Paul Stewart on target.

Spurs: Thorstvedt, Fenwick, Van Den Hauwe, Bergsson, Howells, Mabbutt, Stewart, Walsh, Samways (Sedgley), Lineker, Allen.
