Flashback - with Ray Clemence

Goalkeeper Ray Clemence arrived at White Hart Lane from Liverpool in 1981, having won a tremendous haul of trophies during his time at Anfield including five Division One titles, the FA Cup, League Cup and three European Cups. He would add a further FA Cup winner’s medal to his collection after keeping goal in our 1982 triumph and went on to clock up 330 competitive appearances for us – the last of which arrived in 1987. He later worked on our coaching staff and was inducted into the Tottenham Hotspur Hall of Fame in November, 2014.

What was your pre-match meal?
It would either be fish or poached eggs on toast.

What current player would you have liked to have played alongside?
Probably Harry Kane. I just think he’s got great potential, he’s Spurs through-and-through and he works extremely hard at his game. The world is his oyster at the moment.
