My Spurs Debut

The section where we invite Spurs fans to pinpoint their first ever visit to White Hart Lane and detail the players who captured their imagination in those early days. This month Alice Worley, from Southend-on-Sea, takes us back to May, 2004, when she first took her N17 bow.

My first ever visit to White Hart Lane came right at the end of the 2003-04 season when David Pleat was caretaker manager after Glenn Hoddle’s departure and we struggled at the wrong end of the table.

We played Blackburn Rovers who were also down there with us and we won by a Jermain Defoe goal. It wasn’t a great game and there was a bit more optimism when we also won our next game at relegated Wolves.
