My Spurs Debut

The section where we invite Spurs fans to pinpoint their first ever visit to White Hart Lane and detail the players who captured their imagination in those early days. This month Leigh Edmunds, from Turnford, takes us back to September, 1968, when we were in Seventh Heaven!

I made my Spurs ‘debut’ in the late Sixties, not the greatest time in our history!  I suppose that everything we did then was compared with our great ‘Double’ exploits of recent times and nothing was ever good enough from the supporters’ point of view.

So although I was just delighted to be at White Hart Lane to see all my heroes, all the older fans around me were a pretty disgruntled lot and just moaned at all they saw!  It didn’t really make for a great atmosphere, especially as I just wanted to be positive and enjoy myself!
