Life After The Lane

Staying in touch with our former players as their playing careers progress.

Rafael van der Vaart is unveiled as a Real Betis player earlier this summer.

There will be plenty of ex-Spurs coming up against us in the Premier League during the 2015-16 season.

Experienced midfielder Michael Carrick could be in the Manchester United side we face on the opening day of the new campaign, while Stoke City can call on the services of our former striker Peter Crouch for their trip to White Hart Lane a week later.

Our August Premier League fixtures are completed with an away game at Leicester City and a home game against Everton. Both those sides boast a former Spur in their squad, with our former loanee Paul Konchesky playing for the Foxes these days while Steven Pienaar, who signed for us from Everton in 2011, returned to Goodison Park a year later.

Our record European goalscorer Jermain Defoe will no doubt be itching to be involved against us for Sunderland as we travel to the Stadium of Light in September. Fraizer Campbell, who we loaned from Manchester United during the 2008-09 season, could be in line for a White Hart Lane return when we host his current side Crystal Palace during the same month.

Elsewhere in the division, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Wayne Routledge and Kyle Naughton are all currently at Swansea City while Scottish international Alan Hutton plies his trade at Aston Villa.
