Darren Bent/Aaron Lennon v Arsenal (Away) – Premier League, October 29, 2008.

When it comes to drama and excitement, the North London Derby rarely disappoints. Even by the fixture’s lofty standards there was a match-up of particular note at the Emirates Stadium back in October, 2008, that produced stunning goals, a remarkable Spurs comeback and not one but two super-sub performances!

It was David Bentley who gave us the lead that evening after just 13 minutes. Tom Huddlestone chested an aerial ball into the path of the former Gunners midfielder, who took one touch to set himself up before unleashing a dipping volley from all of 40 yards. Despite getting one hand to the ball, Manuel Almunia in the Arsenal goal was helpless to keep the shot out. Cue Bentley sprinting half the length of the field to celebrate with our supporters!
