The world’s most famous cup competition provided some of Dean Austin’s most memorable moments in a Spurs shirt.

Brought in from Southend United at the start of the inaugural Premier League season in 1992, the hard-working full-back played his part in our run to the FA Cup semi-finals that very campaign while at the same time helping us to an overall eighth place finish in the newly revamped top flight.

Playing in all rounds leading up to our eventual last four defeat to Arsenal in the cup, it amounted to an eventful start to a White Hart Lane tenure that lasted through until 1998 for the Hemel Hempstead-born defender.
