Former goalkeeper Ian Walker was clearly impressed with our state-of-the-art training facilities on his recent visit to the Training Centre.
The 42-year-old, who spent over a decade at the club around the 1990s and was part of our League Cup-winning side of 1999, now plies his trade as a goalkeeping coach with Shanghai East Asia in the Chinese Super League – having previously been with rivals Shanghai Shenhua.
He was back in the UK recently during the Chinese close season and paid a visit to our Enfield training base – taking the opportunity to meet up with former team-mates Tim Sherwood, Les Ferdinand and Steffen Freund.
And the former England international – who also watched our current goalkeepers being put through their paces by goalkeeping coach Tony Parks – was impressed with what he saw.
