Visitor's Book - Ian Walker

We catch up with former players who have dropped in at Hotspur Way recently. This month we look back on the career of our former England goalkeeper Ian Walker.

Visitors_Walks_orange Former goalkeeper Ian Walker was clearly impressed with our state-of-the-art training facilities on his recent visit to the Training Centre.

The 42-year-old, who spent over a decade at the club around the 1990s and was part of our League Cup-winning side of 1999, now plies his trade as a goalkeeping coach with Shanghai East Asia in the Chinese Super League – having previously been with rivals Shanghai Shenhua.

He was back in the UK recently during the Chinese close season and paid a visit to our Enfield training base – taking the opportunity to meet up with former team-mates Tim Sherwood, Les Ferdinand and Steffen Freund.

And the former England international – who also watched our current goalkeepers being put through their paces by goalkeeping coach Tony Parks – was impressed with what he saw.
