2003    Steffen Freund leaves Spurs to return to Germany with Kaiserslauthern.

2007    We win 4-2 at Orient in a friendly. Robbie Keane scores twice.

2    SATURDAY

Nacer Chadli’s 25th birthday.

Spurs v Celtic, Friendly, at the Olympic Stadium, Helsinki, KO 2.30pm (UK time).

1997    David Howells’ testimonial ends in a 2-0 defeat to Fiorentina.

1982    Helder Postiga (pictured, right) born in Povoa de Varzim. The Portuguese international would join us from Porto in 2003.

3    SUNDAY

1952    Ossie Ardiles born in Cordoba. He would join us in July, 1978, after helping Argentina win the World Cup.

2005    Dutch international Edgar Davids signs for Spurs from Inter Milan.

4    MONDAY

1985    Glenn Hoddle’s testimonial against Arsenal ends in a 1-1 draw.  David Leworthy scores our goal.

2003    Fredi Kanoute signs from West Ham United with Matthew Etherington making the reverse move as part of the deal.

5    TUESDAY

1964    We play a Glasgow XI in a charity game at Hampden Park where we lose 4-2. Frank Saul and Jimmy Robertson score our goals in front of 58,768 fans.

2013    Spanish international centre-forward Roberto Soldado (pictured below, left) signs from Valencia.

6    WEDNESDAY

1994    Jurgen Klinsmann makes his first Spurs appearance in a friendly at Watford. Teddy Sheringham scores our goal in the 1-1 draw.

2009    Central defender Sebastien Bassong signs from Newcastle United.

7    THURSDAY

1887    Full-back Charlie Brittan (1911-14) born on the Isle of Wight.

2004    Defender Thimothee Atouba joins us from FC Basel.
