Coming from Scotland, it’s impractical for me to make it to White Hart Lane for matches. I often work weekends, too, meaning I don’t get much of a chance to watch us on television apart from the Europa League games on Thursday nights and any other midweek games we might be playing in.

I’ve always been a Spurs fan – I’m 44 now – and, truth be told, I’d love to be in a position to get down to North London regularly. I’ve been fortunate enough to see us play at the Lane on three occasions in the past when circumstances have allowed and our recent 4-3 win over Leicester certainly brought back memories of my first visit!

It was back in February, 2004, when I journeyed down to the Lane via a series of trains to watch us play Leicester in a Premier League game. The trip seemed to take forever – it was even worse on the way back – but I definitely got my money’s worth as I saw a thrilling 4-4 draw!
