  • Cleaning Manager and Technical Services Manager

    The Club is looking for a Cleaning Manager and a Technical Services Manager to join its stadium operations team. Further details on each separate vacancy can be obtained below.     CLEANING MANAGER

    The purpose of the role is to manage the cleaning and waste management services in our new stadium campus, ensuring both outsourced and in-house services are delivered to a high level of service and deliver ‘best in class’.

    The successful candidate will therefore ensure excellent operational standards are maintained at all times by issuing direction to internal resources and an external cleaning partner. Due to the nature of the business, the position will involve working anti-social hours (e.g. evenings / Saturdays / Sundays / Bank Holidays) so a flexible candidate is sought.

    • Manage cleaning operations, including day to day cleaning, event cleaning and specialist cleaning, ensuring excellent standards are maintained at all times
    • Manage cleaning specification and schedules
    • Hold accountability for the preparation and presentation of the stadium campus at all times
    • Oversee the cleaning provider’s contract and service delivery, ensuring resources are utilised in an appropriate and timely fashion, including staff hours and cleaning equipment
    • Drive efficiency through innovative cleaning techniques and technology
    • Manage the cleaning budget including analysis and reporting
    • Develop SLA’s and KPI’s with the service provider, carrying out weekly audits
    • Ensure safe working practices are adopted and compliance with all relevant legislation
    • Manage waste operations, including day to day waste removal and event waste removal from the stadium campus
    • Manage waste strategy through our waste provider, ensuring the sustainable waste objectives are achieved
    • Manage waste compliance in line with the THFC environmental policy

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Event cleaning management experience within Stadia and/or Arena
    • Able to demonstrate delivering ‘best in class’ cleaning and waste management services to large footfall events and iconic buildings
    • High level experience in managing cleaning and waste management contracts with external providers
    • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety and trained to IOSH level
    • BIC’s Knowledge (trainer level desirable)
    • Experience working with CAFM systems
    • Strong line management abilities, including mentoring and developing others
    • Strong project management and efficient administration skills
    • Excellent orientation skills
     

    TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGER

    The post holder will hold responsibility for proactive maintenance and efficient resolution of wide-ranging issues related to maintenance of the new stadium and campus, ensuring excellent operational standards are maintained at all times. As such, they will manage and direct internal resources and external partners (such as lifts, escalator, electrical systems and building fabric companies) effectively, to include budget management. The successful candidate will be tasked with structuring, recruiting and line managing a 24/7 maintenance team, which we estimate will be 25-strong. Due to the nature of the business, the position will involve working anti-social hours (e.g. evenings / Saturdays / Sundays / Bank Holidays) so a flexible candidate is sought.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage technical services and maintenance operations, including day to day technical services, ensuring a high level of service and delivering ‘best in class’
    • Manage the planned preventative maintenance specification and schedules through the CAFM system within the stadium campus, ensuring all assets are maintained in accordance with the statutory and legislative requirements
    • Hold accountability for pre-event checks of the systems utilized within the new stadium, ensuring compliance with Safety Certificate requirements
    • Ensure overall preparation and best in class presentation of the stadium campus, at all times
    • Oversee the outsourced maintenance contracts and service delivery, developing efficient SLA’s and KPI’s with service providers
    • Carry out regular audits utilizing the CAFM system to ensure the proactive PPM program is being undertaken
    • Manage the maintenance budget including analysis and reporting
    • Ensure safe working practices are adopted and the business is achieving compliance with all relevant legislation
    • Provide technical support to the maintenance engineers
    • Project manage any changes to the technical services within the stadium campus, ensuring they are completed to agreed specification and within budget
    • Responsible for the equipment utilized within the maintenance department, ensuring it is maintained and meets all statutory and legislative requirements
    • Oversee a multi-skilled maintenance team of 25 people and line manage one Maintenance Manager, taking the lead in matters of recruitment, training and development of the team

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Qualified (City and Guilds/HNC or equivalent building services qualification) and experienced with a thorough understand of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and ‘hands on’ experience working as an engineer
    • Experience of working at a high technical level within a complex mechanical and electrical environment
    • Thorough understanding of statutory and legislative requirements
    • Strong Project management and Contract Management skills
    • Demonstrable experience managing maintenance contracts
    • Strong man management skills
    • Excellent administration and orientation skills
    • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety
    • Experience working with and implementing CAFM systems
