Shaun Harvey was nominated by various fans as our latest 'Hotspur Hero' with a pitchside presentation given by Spurs Legends Pat Jennings and Phil Beal at Tottenham Hotspur's last home match of the 2016/2016 Season against Southampton.
Shaun has been a supporting Spurs for 48 years. He was 7 years old and when he saw Pat Jennings catch a ball with one hand he was hooked. Then 19 years ago he was sick of the long travel from Somerset to White Hart Lane and so he started a mini car pool with a few friends took it to the next level by advertising a local meet up to games and that's how Somerset Spurs started. Every season for the past 19 years he arranges tickets & transport to games (sometimes he hires a minibus travel to evening games and always drives the 370 mile round trip) without fuss & without pay it's all done for the love of Tottenham & his fellow fans. Many of the supporters wouldn't get to games if it wasn't for the hard work Shaun puts in so for that reason One nomination said 'his not just my hotspur hero but Somerset Spurs hotspur hero'
An overwhelmed Shaun said "I am honored to receive this award, it is a dream come true"
