Played with Bremen's reserves from 1997 to 2000, following his move from Toronto Lynx where he had top scored in his final season with eight goals.
Netted on his Bundesliga debut against Energie Cottbus in August 2000, and went on to play 150 league games, hitting six goals, before bowing out by helping Bremen into Europe's elite competition for a second consecutive year.
