Goran became Glen Hoddle’s first signing as manager of Tottenham in the summer of 2001. The composed centre half arrived as Sol Campbell was travelling across North London. Initially the Serbia and Montenegro international defender was placed in a holding midfield role to cover for our growing injury list but did not last long, being sidelined for most of the season with various injuries. Once he had recovered from injury, Bunjevcevic was used as a utility man by Hoddle, using him across the back line when needed. The arrival of Martin Jol meant first team football was over for Goran, who represented the reserves before moving to Dutch side ADO Den Haag in 2005 after scoring 2 goals in 47 games.
