What We Do

  • Apprenticeships

Tottenham Hotspur Foundation apprenticeships allow you to combine practical training in a job with study. As an apprentice you will work alongside experienced staff and learn new skills on the Foundation's programmes in the following areas:

    • Sports Coaching
    • Community Development
    • Health and Wellbeing
    • Education
    • Equalities and Inclusion
    • Office Administration

We also partner with employers, local authorities and training providers to promote and support the delivery of apprenticeships in various sectors including IT, construction, engineering, hospitality and catering. Through these partnerships and our Employment & Skills initiatives 131 young people have been offered apprenticeships.

Our apprenticeships offer Level 2 accreditation and are for a period of one year. Employment will be full-time at 35 hours per week with one day dedicated to studying and classroom based sessions.

The accredited element of the apprenticeship will cover:

    • Employment Awareness - A knowledge element based around employment and an understanding of the sports sector. Areas covered will include: Understanding Employment Rights and Responsibilities and Understanding the Employing Organisation.
    • Functional Skills in English & Maths - This will be completed through online or written tests. Learners may be exempt from this part of the qualification based on their GCSE results
    • NVQ - A competency based qualification where learners are required to produce evidence to show they are working as an effective activity leader. Areas covered will include: Preparing for Activity Sessions, Leading Activity Sessions and Supporting the Work of the Team and Organisation.
    • Technical certificate - A knowledge based element of the apprenticeship completed through classroom based sessions. Topics covered include: Health, Safety and Welfare in Sport and Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People.
