A family of Spurs supporters were given a memorable day out at our Spurs Lodge training ground thanks to the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation's unique partnership with Coaching for Hope.
Coaching for Hope is an innovative charity which uses football as a tool to work with young people in Africa and the UK and build their confidence, self-esteem and ability to make healthy choices.
The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation are one of only four football club partners of the charity and have supported its work by sending coaches to Africa to support young people from townships.
An auction was recently held to raise funds for Coaching for Hope's continued work in Africa, to which we donated a once-in-lifetime prize of a visit to Spurs Lodge to watch First Team training and a special meet and greet with Michael Dawson.
The highest bidders for the prize were the Peill family from Cumbria, and the visit served as an unforgettable 60th birthday present for lifelong Spurs fan Andrew.
He took pleasure in meeting many of our First Team squad and coaching staff before being presented with a birthday card signed by the lads, presented by ‘Daws' (pictured above).
The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation is working on a number of projects that support the area of equalities and inclusion on an international level, such as its work with Special Olympics Europe/Eurasia.
The Foundation has also recently supported Special Olympics Singapore by providing coaching support and sharing best practice with their local coaches based in Singapore.
