     The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation Education and Futsal Development Centre is delivered in partnership with Haringey Sixth Form Centre. We link futsal theory, National Futsal standard coaching and games programme with a range of academic studies for up to 15 learners aged between 16 and 19 years. Learners of varying abilities and from a wide variety of ethnic and social backgrounds can enroll on full-time BTEC level 2 or 3 courses with the potential to continue onto a Foundation Degree in Sports Development and Coaching. 

    What can students expect?

    • A permanent team of qualified staff from the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and Haringey Sixth Form will deliver the coaching and teaching elements of the programme.
    • All coaching staff have appropriate FA qualifications in futsal, and are trained in emergency first aid. They are also DBS checked to enhanced level. Coaches from the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation are also Tottenham Hotspur Academy or Development Centre coaches.
    • Learners will use facilities at the school and at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club over the duration of the year.
    • Transportation will be provided for learners to and from all of the above facilities if required free of charge.
    • Learners who enrol on the course will be required to sign a code of conduct, and will not be allowed to train or play futsal unless they are up-to-date with their academic commitments.
    • Classroom sessions will fit around the futsal training and playing element of the programme.
    • Learners will receive up to 10 hours of futsal coaching delivered by former England Futsal player and Tottenham Hotspur Academy coach, Aaron Cato, each week at the Haringey Sixth Form.
    • An elite squad will be selected from the students to compete at college level both locally and nationally.
    • Training and playing kit for the programme will be provided for each learner.

    How can students join the programme?  

    • Learners will be recruited through various local youth and community projects, via formal referrals, and via Haringey Sixth Form's annual prospectus.
    • All completed application forms and additional supporting paperwork (references and personal statements etc.) must be sent to Kevin Browne, Haringey Sixth Form Centre, White Hart Lane, Tottenham, N17 8HR.
    • Successful applicants will be invited for trials/training sessions, class based assessment, and an interview with the school which take place in June/July each year
    • Applicants that are selected as a result of the futsal trial, class based assessment and school interview will be placed on a course that reflects their qualifications.
